Personal Mediation
Sharon Ellison, individually, and in conjunction with other PNDC trainers, provides mediation for people who wish to come together to resolve a range of issues, including creating a closure when ending a relationship, co-parenting among adults who are no longer (or never were) partners, conflict among neighbors, resolving financial issues, a conflict between an landlord and tenant, or issues that have caused ongoing conflict in a long term friendship. Sharon's approach to mediation is to draw out people's assumptions and identify the core issues that lie under the tip of the iceberg. Sharon helps each person in the mediation identify the what holds her/him in the power struggle, preventing resolution. She brings her ability to identify relationship patterns to the mediation and helps each person see how their own behavior has contributed to the escalation of the conflict. She then works with the clients to shift to a non-defensive approach to resolution that is transformatiave and will provide more healing and the best outcome possible for all parties. See About Sharon and/or Coaching for further information re: Sharon's approach to interventions. In offering mediations, Sharon also works with others in the PNDC Consortium of Trainers whenever it is appropriate. For example, in cases where two mediators are called for, Sharon will work with Mady Shumofsky, an award winning mediator, and/or Emily Doskow, an attorney who specializes in mediations. In addition, Sharon also often works with Monza Naff, who can, when desired,
help the people create a ritual to provide transition and healing after
the mediation. |
